The
Mid North Coast of NSW is one of the fastest
growing population areas in Australia. It has
long been an anomaly that disadvantaged groups
in this region have had no access to a Community
Legal Centre. The NSW Community Legal Centres
Funding Program report completed in June 2006
identified that clients in a number of
geographical areas had limited access to legal
services. The Mid North Coast was identified as
one of six key geographic areas that lacked
legal services.
